4/3/2013: The Board of Directors will be holding a public Meeting on April 10, 2013 @ 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Middle School library. The officers will present each policy, allow public comment and vote to adopt. All club members are encouraged to attend.

3/30/2013: PineTree League, Adam Podolec reported the following about the U14 girls team, We have 14 girls on the roster for the spring Pine Tree league. Denise Mallett will be assisting me with the coaching. The whole point of having spring soccer is to keep the girls active in playing soccer year round. We also, want to stay competitive against premier and elite teams throughout the state of Maine. We look forward to a fun and competitive 6 week season. Adam practises what he believe as he was also coach of the U14 girls team at Hampton this winter.

3/27/2013: Some changes in the works for the web page. We've added a new page that has the 2013 registration.

Also Field Directions has a new title. You can find most locations where events take place.

A sponsor page. Sponsor information and links just like the 2012 page. Please note the 2012 Sponsor page will be going away very soon to make room for our 2013 sponsors.

3/23/2013: Registration is not over! You can still register thru May 31. Another event is planned in May. We will be posting the registration application soon. If you have questions email:
vp@nobletravelsoccer.com

Are you looking to advertise your business? Send us an e-mail and tell us your interest. Our teams travel all over Southern Maine. We also attend events in New Hampshire. Check out the 2012 Sponsors page.

3/17/2013:

The registration was a good time to make contact with other parents. So what have people been doing over this winter? A good number of boys and girls are playing indoor soccer in Saco and Hampton on the weekend. Some of the U14 girls have had an opportunity to sub in the Noble High School Seacoast soccer team. Many of the U9/U10 girls played basketball together. The U14 girls are playing in the upcoming Pinetree League session. Perhaps at the next registration we can find out what the rest of you are doing.

3/16/2013:
24 took advantage of the discount and registered. The kids had a one hour plus clinic with a game afterwards. Next stop, the North Berwick Primary School.

3/13/2013: From the meeting: Two free soccer clinics and registration (discount on registration) coming up shortly on March 18 and 22. That's next week. Registration will run between April and May 31. Late June an assessment of player will be done by MPS. July coaches clinic. Early August a player's clinic. Board is working on sponsorship for club. Quotes are being sought on team uniforms. Also working on the various choices for a fall tournament.

2/24/2013: U14 Indoor Soccer. Congratulations to Coach Adam Podolec and his U14 Ladies indoor team. The ladies placed second in this weekend's Nike indoor cup tournament at Seacoast United. The ladies had to play all elite teams from NH and MA. They ended up in second place but only missing first place by one goal. The players are:
Meredith Podolec, Kerri Fleming, Kendra Silvers, Summer Smith, Sammy Couture, Brenna Fry, Morgan Griffin,Tyler Tarr and Hailey Tarr. Congratulations ladies.

2/23/2013: Why would you want your child to be in the Noble Travel Soccer Program? To begin with we have licensed coaches who must take classes with Soccer Maine (United Soccer Federation of Maine). Coaches go thru an extensive Training program that teaches teaching skills, but also how to build a player's confidence and skills. Another important reason boys and girls learn how to work within a team. Teamwork is important for a player 's growth in the years to come. Noble Travel Soccer is a stepping-stone for play in school sports.

Did you, as a parent ever want to get involved with what is going on? You may say, "I don't know anything about soccer." The answer is this: A lot of the behind the scenes requires no knowledge of the sport. The club needs help in many ways; such as finding a sponsor, set up nets or maybe you have a skill that will make us a better club.

1/30/2012 Email from the President:

Registration will begin in just a few months. Watch for announcements on dates.

Team practices will begin in July or August.

The club has been involved with the Pine Tree League. According to the site,
Registration of teams will open in February with league play expected to begin on April 28, 2013.

Session 3 Soccer in Hampton is starting the beginning of March.

The club cannot function without volunteers. Directors and coaches are putting in time planning for the 2013 season.

Some of the goals in the President's recent e-mail:

  • Grow the size of the club: Focusing on getting increased participation from Lebanon and North Berwick
  • Finances
  • Board Members such as Director of Coaching and Player Development and Scheduler (refs, fields, games etc.)
  • Create subcommittees of non-board members to assist in fund raising, promotional activities, field setup and maintenance.
  • Review and revise, if warranted, the Code of Conduct for all club members (coaches, players, parents, officers etc.).
  • Establish rules concerning player placement and other topics not addressed by the bylaws.
    Amend by-laws as needed.
  • * Many more details are in the link above.
